Thank you Edge!
THE WWE Wrestlemania Revenge Tour signed off out of the UK last Tuesday night, but not before the fans got the chance to say goodbye to one of their favourite wrestlers, Edge.
The O2 Arena was full on Monday for the Raw taping, and while that wasn’t the case for the Smackdown taping, the WWE Universe was certainly in full voice as they got to see some of their favourite wrestlers such as Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio. Even villains Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett got cheers from the crowd due to their British roots.
Last week Edge shocked the WWE Universe when he announced that he was going to retire from wrestling with immediate effect under his doctor’s orders, but he showed what a true professional he was by turning up to the Wrestlemania Revenge Tour because he was committed to it and did not want to let the fans down.
Those same fans blew the roof off when the Rated-R Superstar’s music hit, interrupting the “retirement party” thrown by his nemesis Alberto Del Rio. After Edge’s life-long best friend and former tag team partner Christian beat Del Rio up with a ladder and retrieved the World Heavyweight Championship that was being suspended 25 feet above the ring, the two men embraced in the ring to huge applause.
Edge and Christian had been best friends from childhood, but neither of them would have imagined growing up that they would go on to forge one of the most successful tag teams of all time. The two Canadians enthralled the crowd with one last “five-second pose for the benefit of those with flash photography”.
Before Smackdown, fans outside the O2 Arena were treated to a five-minute cameo from Triple H as he promoted his film The Chaperone. But not even “The Game” could take the spotlight off Edge as the night finished off with his colleagues coming down to the ring to celebrate with him.
It was a great send-off for Edge from the UK who was determined to become a wrestler, so much so that his classmates wrote in his high school yearbook that he was “Most Likely To Become WWF Champion”. It was a long road, but if anything, Edge has shown with perseverance and hard work, you can make your dreams come true.
And as the WWE Universe was chanting at the end of the show, there is only one thing left to add:
Thank You Edge!

The hottest stars in the universe spin so fast that they get a bit squished at their poles and dimmer around their middle. The 90-year-old theory that predicts the extent of this "gravity darkening" phenomenon has major flaws, according to a new study
(Photo: Reuters/NASA) It's not quite infinity and beyond, but on this day NASA scientists sent the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit hoping to finally see what they never could from Earth -- the first glimpses of the edge of the universe.

Edge again would have another classic match for the IC title in 2004 as he went up against an up and comer, Randy Orton. The match that Orton and Edge had really showed not only WWE officials, but also the WWE Universe that Edge and Randy Orton were

This program will be marvelous when it can be watched uninterrupted by commercials. It is almost a meditation on the awesome splendor out there. Awesome is a word that has lost much of its value these days but this program invokes awe. I can’t wait to put the headphones on and disappear into the interstellar spaces. After watching it I found it a real challenge to balance the depressing things going on down here with the billion year beauty out there. Splendid graphics, excellent narration, it weaves a spell. Thank you National Geographic I have waited years for a program like this. This is what computer graphics were made for.
This documentary is, hands down, the most well made documentary on the Universe I have ever seen. I have been watching Discovery Channel and other channels like it since I was a child.
I’ve seen a thousand documentaries on our universe. Nothing even comes close to this. I have spent many years contemplating our place in the universe both from religious and philosophical standpoints. I can honestly say that this documentary has played a pivotal role in shaking me out of my “bubble” on how I view nearly everything. After first seeing it on National Geographic, I spent months thinking about it. When I look out at the Ocean now I am aware of who I am and where we really are.
When you finish this video, you will walk away from it with an awareness that you never had before, of the unseen astronomically massive universe that we float around on like a spec of dust in the ocean. The most brilliant and awe inspiring thing about it, is that its all completely true. This video takes you on a journey through the universe as if you are watching a Sci Fi adventure. Yet you constantly have to remind yourself that what you’re seeing is really out there. This is all fact.
Freely going anywhere. Yes, even to the edge of the universe. It's just like my wish. Why am I nervous?
